Gucci Gang. Gucci Gang. Gucci Gang. Gucci has been killing the fashion game. Gucci went from a struggling iconic brand to a mainstay in the fashion world. The classic red and green Gucci webb is on another level and can be seen in streetstyle looks and on red carpets.
In 2018, Gucci is slated to be one of the most valuable brands in the Italian design market. I am not surprised at all. Gucci has created a brand new lane with fashion pieces for the maximalist to wear from day to night. I have quite a few pieces from Gucci and love them dearly.
With my growing love for Gucci, I have gravitated toward other people who love Gucci as well. One of those people are fashion personality Alyson Cafiero @alysoncafiero on Instagram. She has been an fashion inspiration to me with her fun, dimensional and intricate style. I glimpsed her Gucci room ( via Instagram) and was mesmerized by her ability to select some of the most memorable pieces from the Gucci collection. Aside from Alyson’s love for Gucci, she is a beautiful woman with a caring heart. The Power of Instagram is real. Some of most valuable friendships started on Instagram. Thank you Alyson for being an authentic fashion friend.
Alyson was kind enough to join me at the new Gucci store located at 63 Wooster in Soho, New York while I was visiting New York. Walking into the store was an experience. The store was a mix of both clothing, home interiors and Instagrammable moments. I couldn’t help myself. The Sales Associates (SA) were dressed in head-to-toe Gucci looks. The SAs stood around next to the iconic Dapper Dan collection dressed in Gucci pleated skirts, hoodies and sneakers and blended in with the aesthetic of the store There was a pillow wall with Gucci’s monogram prints in velvet, mystic snakes and teddy bears. Closer to the back of the store displayed Gucci’s gowns. Wow. Each piece was so detailed with sequins, chiffon and denim. And then there were the lush velvet turbans paired with gem chandelier earrings. . Completely irresistible. Gucci's new direction of merging fashion and home was apparent and reminded me of the vastness of the Gucci brand.
Gucci is not only a brand but a feeling. 63 Wooster is full of the Gucci feeling. Make sure you pop into the Gucci store on 63 Wooster St and experience it all yourself.
