Setting goals is the first step to getting ready for the new year. Last week we spoke about prepping for 2017. When setting your goals, you gotta be SMART. Yes SMART. SMART is an acronym tool I use when I am planning out my goals. I would suggest that you write out all of your goals, the break them down and think about the SMART Acroynm:
Specific. Make your goal specific. You goal should be detailed and not too vague. It should be one sentence and have descriptive words.
Measurable. You should be able to measure your goal. There should be metrics with your goals. If you can’t measure it how would you know if you accomplished it?
Actionable/ Attainable. What actions are you taking to achieve your goal? Are you going to make changes to your life, add activities to your schedule etc?
Relevant. How much effort would this take for the value it would bring to your life?
Timeline. When will you accomplish this goal? How long do you estimate it will take?
What are some obstacles you may face?
How will you overcome them?
Start your 2017 now by setting your goals and crushing them.
