Yes, we are still talking denim every Monday. I am still in love with and inspired by, all of the denim looks I have seen from a variety of designers. Remember, that you can be featured on the blog if you tag your denim look with #MCDDenim. Try something different with your denim and let me feature it.
Denim and floral prints? A fashion girl’s dream come true. Once again, Gucci has done this soo well this season. The pairing of denim with floral embroidery is a fun element that make denim chic and creative.
Though I love all things Gucci, it is pretty much all sold out. So instead of crying, I decided to do my own thing. I love a good DIY and am always prepared to recreate looks and designs. So I headed to Gap and picked up a simple distressed jean jacket. It was the perfect fit, soft and flexible. So the jacket was an easy find.
Ok, as for the patches, I had to hunt. On Queen and Spadina there are such great little junk sewing stores with all these nick nacks. I picked up a few patches that looked similar to the Gucci ones and decided they would be added to my jacket.
The patches were iron-on but to make sure they stayed on, I used some Gorilla glue to secure the patches to my jean jacket.
After waiting overnight, the jacket was ready. I put it on and my husband re-fell in love with me… I mean with denim jackets. He really liked it and though it looked cool. I still wasn’t convinced but once I stepped foot into Fairview Mall with my floral denim jacket, I knew it was a hit.
Gucci, I love you but you know sometimes you’re sold out. But that worked in my favor. I have a cool jacket with enough flowers for everyone.

Denim on denim on denim is the theme every Monday on mschurchdress.com. To be featured tag your denim look with #MCDDenim. We are focusing on denim because it is really really really on trend this season. It is easy to wear, style and can be dressed up or down.
Often, denim is just thrown on without considering makeup options. But your make up can really highlight the fun elements of denim. When wearing denim, make sure your makeup compliments the wave of denim in your look. Sometimes denim can be drab but if you are up play your makeup you can add some spice to your look.
My favorite lippy combo is a powerful lined- red lip. I line my lips with Currant by MAC and then purse my lips for it to blend a bit. Then I fill in the rest of my lip with MAC Ruby Woo. There you go, an easy bold red lip to match a denim on denim on denim look.

Our denim series is on and popping. Every Monday ( and whenever I want) I be will be featuring a denim look or idea. If you have a great denim look, hashtag it with #MCDdenim and I will feature it on my blog. This week I want to show you how easy it is to rock denim this season.
Wearing denim is the easiest way to get on trend for 2016. Anything in denim works.Throw on your jeans, preferably your oldest yet presentable pair and rock out.
I did just that but instead of just wearing jeans and a white shirt, I made a fun fringe belt using old jean material that I had laying around. I used the waistbands from all of my old jeans and then cut strips and stitched it on. Maybe I should do a DIY. What do you think?
This outfit was shot in Dumbo, Brooklyn with Photographer Cesar Isabel of @Photofacotry29. He did an excellent job and can’t wait to shoot with him again.
