I love Toronto. When I am in my hometown, it just feels right. I was in Toronto for a 40th celebration at my church and it was an amazing weekend filled with family, food and fun.
Today is Monday right? Yess it is. Mondays are my favorite day of the week. So I want to throw it back to last Monday in Toronto with one of my favorite fashion people. I have friends, family and then I have fashion friends. I will introduce you to them along the way. Here is the first one… luxury blogger, fashion genius, social media guru TUXEDOSERGIO, my true fashion friend who understands the fashion side of me. We talk luxury purchases, we review Paris shows, travel together to fulfill our fashion dreams and spend hours at Hermes looking at the craftsmanship of $20,000 blankets. Yes. We love fashion. #fashionfriends.
Last Monday I spent the whole day with Serge…. I call him Serge… we tore up the city. Since I left Toronto much has changed with the fashion scene. Stores have changed, designers have come and gone and it was great exploring all of my favorite boutiques and cafes with Serge. So let’s recap the day.
“ I’m On Bloor Where you can’t shop”- Drake, No Shopping- French Montana feat. Drake
We hopped over to Louis Vuitton, to pick up a few gifts and were enthralled with a mini bag that was priced at $100,000. Ha! We almost passed out. It was beautifully encrusted with black beads but $100,000. Whoa!
Nespresso is my favorite coffee brand. It is so regal and luxe. And my husband loves his machine. There was a Nespresso café nearby so we went there, sipped tea and hot chocolate and mayyybbbeee we had cheesecake. No juding ok! Ha! The café felt like a chocolate dream with a gold, nude and brown aesthetic and hard covered menus and suit outfitted servers. Sheer class.
We were in Yorkville, one of the prestigious fashion areas of Toronto. So Serge took me to the new Christian Louboutin boutique and I was blown away. It was a regal boutique with a lot of red, red carpet, red shoes, red soles. We picked out shoes we loved and spoke about the true beauty of Louboutin design. These are the moments I live for. Next door to Christian Louboutin was the OFF- WHITE boutique, a luxury streetwear brand. The clothing was crafted in Milan. Streetwear is not my forte but I found a blouse I love. Ekkk! Now I am thinking about it. Let’s see if I actually get it.
Yorkville is full of boutiques and we went to almost everyone. We stopped at the Four Seasons Toronto for a meeting and to see the flowers of the day. Do you know they change the flowers everyday?
By now the evening was upon us and we went our separate ways. So sad to leave my fashion friend but I met up with my long time friend Agapi for a dance workout. Guys, I can’t dance. Seriously. I can move to the beat but choregraphed dancing is not for me. I just can’t get the moves. We had a great workout and sweat off all the calories from the nachos I ate last week in Cabo.
We went to Fresh which is a healthy vegetarian and vegan spot in Toronto. I love the food there. You don’t even miss the meat. I had the BBQ burger and Agapi had a quinoa bowl. We chatted all evening. Such a great time catching up with Agapi. We worked at Esprit De Corp and now we are both successful women with careers that are growing. #startedfromthebottomnowwehere
Ok to be honest, we got Yogurty’s after. Ha! The yogurt was yummy and we only had a little bit.
Top 5 to Do in Toronto
I headed back to my hotel and my husband was back after a day of meetings. In that moment, I realized I missed Toronto. I missed my friends and the people who have gotten me to this point. But I know San Francisco will get me to where I want to be.
Thank you TuxedoSergio for a day of fashion pampering and thanks Agapi for taking me back to the good old days.

Have you been to Toronto?
Sunglasses are just my weakness. I love a great pair of sunnies that are effective and fun. For my recent trip to Los Cabos, I was committed to finding the funkiest pair of sunnies to go along with my other traditional and sleek shades. I like to wear my hair pulled back and rock my statement shades. Werk!
I headed to the internet and fell in love with these Dolce & Gabbana sunnies. They were stunning with the ornate red flowers placed on the frames with green leaves. The design was perfect for my face and I loved the vibrant red. The frames are black so they compliments the red roses and tones down the bold design. Well done Dolce & Gabbana. If roses aren't your thing, there are a variety of beautiful sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana for you to choose from.
Dolce & Gabbana is the Italian design house to go to when you want something that will stand out. Their pieces are just WOW and really make a statement. Dolce & Gabbana also never shys away from colour and full on design from the smallest inch to the largest yard.
During my trip to Cabo, I wore these shades with a black laceup swimsuit and a orange, red and pink coverup. I can’t wear to wear these with my denim and a simple white shirt.

If you are looking for beautiful design and to stand out in a crowd, your first stop should be the Dolce & Gabbana collection. I believe these were designed for the Spanish rose collection. I picked them especially for the roses and then I realized the matched a bunch of accessories I already had. It is apparent that I love red.
Would you rock these?
How would you rock them?
Wasn't Cabo beautiful? I am back from my recent trip with J W Marriott Los Cabos and I am so excited to share all of the details. But first, fashion. This was one of my favourite looks during my trip.
I really haven’t worn much nude tones since last year during my trip to Taiwan. I don’t think nude tones look good on me but when I saw this dress, I had to purchase it. It was the perfect addition to my vacation wardrobe.
Crushed velvet has been a hot fabric for the past few seasons. But I wasn’t too keen on it. This dress stood out to me with the lace details at the bottom and on the chest area. The lace is so delicate. I thought this dress would be too hot for the heat but it wasn’t. It felt like perfection my skin and kept me cool. Weird right.
TIP: Always take a scarf or wrap with you just in case you get cold. Drape it elegantly on your shoulders.
The cape was a last minute decision. Cabo can get a bit cool and I picked it up to casually drape across my shoulders.
The one thing about Cabo, shoes are not needed. Ha!
Buuuttt I would wear my lucky Gucci Shoes if I could.
