Transportation in New York can be an issue. Getting a rental car can be tricky because where would you park it? You can get a cab but sometimes you may have bags or luggage that you have to take with you. Car sharing options are available but sometimes you don’t get WiFi or you don’t know where to meet. Ughhh!
For NYFW I decided to book my private car services with JT Limousine. This was the first time I ever booked a private car and driver in NYC. I knew I needed a better experience and a higher level of service while running to and from shows and to meetings.
JT Limousine exceeded all of my expectations.
Yes, I know there are hundreds of car services in NYC
but here is why you should book with JT Limousine.
Three reasons you should book your next trip with JT Limousine:
They are prompt. Time means everything to me. Being late is not an option in my life. When JT Limousine picked me up from the airport, they were waiting for me outside. Major points. I was so happy because I was exhausted and really wanted to head to the hotel. I jumped in the large car and pretty much had to stop myself from falling asleep. If JT Limousine says that are showing up at 10 am they are there bright and early.
The quality of the cars. The cars are pristine. I drove in the 2016 Suburban all week and it was large, spacious and super clean. I felt like a fashion princess. The driver was kind and helped me with my bags and told me where to get the best pizza in the city. I also enjoyed their stretch Suburban on a tour of Central Park. I felt safe and secure and the experience was very luxurious.
Great communication. We communicated mainly by email, text and phone and I was concerned that without an app, I wouldn’t be able to track them and they would lose me in the city. Well I was wrong. We always met at the right spot without me having to take off my heels. Every morning that JT Limousine had to pick me up, I woke up with an email in my inbox confirming their arrival time. This put my mind at ease and helped my day go smoothly.
Thank you JT Limousine for having me during NYFW. Thank you for putting up with my crazy schedule and for being right on time.

I have made it my mandate to shoot with Caesar Isabel of PhotoFactory29 anytime I am in New York. It is always a fun time catching up with him and getting updates on his photography career. He suggested we shoot on 5th Ave and I agreed. It was fun window shopping at Gucci while he snapped pics of me. Gucci is so hot right now!
My friend Tiffany was with me for direction and she pretty much put together this look for me. I wanted to wear black because I hardly wear black or dark colours. I recently saw this veil in the Bang Bang Gucci movie featuring fashion personality Alyson Cafiero and made my own. To contrast the black leather dress from Asos, I wore a beige fox stole and animal print heels. To add more leather, I wore my elbow length leather gloves. My Primark triad necklace topped the look off.
Are you a leather lover?
Thank you PhotoFactory29
With all of the social tension around me, I did feel a bit guilty attending NYFW. Though fashion is an art, it felt like all the hoopla of the shows dimmed in comparision to the pain that many are feeling in America and in the world.
I stepped into the Adrienne Landau presentation during NYFW and the guilt went away. “Landauland” was a celebration of Adrienne Landau’s 40 year anniversary and it was a party. Beyonce, Madonna, Taraji P. Henson and Lady Gaga are just a few of the major first class celebs who have worn Adrienne Landau designs. Known for fur and elaborate coats, on Valentine’s Day the Adrienne Landau presentation focused on love, unity and freedom of expression.
The presentation was comprised of 7 installations with adult and children models wearing coats and clothing by Adrienne Landau. Imagine over 30 giant blow up bananas, a bride and groom on a horse, a rave party and fur clad children playing with large building blocks… to name a few.
I was drawn to the enclosed glass display entitled “ Warriors”. Five models stood donned in colourful and detailed Trinidad Carnival type garb but draped in purple, blue, green, yellow and red fluffy Adrienne Landau coats. It reminded me of back home in the Caribbean. The models danced and showed the movement of each coat.
While I walked around I was served chocolate lips wrapped in red foil. It was Valentines Day and the fashion got me into the chocolate mood.
“ Adrienne Landau put colour and luxe at the forefront of her collection. From plush stoles to brocade motor jackets, the pieces presented grooved with the social message of freedom of expression.
The vibrancy of colour paired with parkas, vests and sweatpants reintroduced the appeal of streetwear design made in luxury fabrics. Each installation of the presentation was meaningful not only because of the beauty of the pieces but the beauty of the message.“–Aquila on Adrienne Landau Fall/Winter 2017
