I am heading on a major trip in the next week. Yippeee! I am going to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia to celebrate my wedding anniversary. Yay! This is going to be one of the biggest and longest trips of my life and I am so overjoyed to be given the opportunity to share it with you all.
I describe my blog as the intersection between fashion and travel. For the past year I have been designing and creating clothing to reflect the vibrancy of each country I visit. I then feature these collections right here on mschurchdress.com. This trip is no different BUT, I am working along with a company that I admire and respect on a special project. The company is Gideon’s Needle.
Gideon’s Needle is a fashion house who merges traditional African prints with Western Fabrics to create custom, bespoke design. The source of inspiration of the company is culture which can be seen in the bright and contemporary designs. Gideon’s Needle prides itself on making their garments look gorgeous on the inside as well as the outside. What do I mean you ask? Hmmm. Some companies who make custom pieces do not take much effort to make the inside of a garment as neat as the outside. This is the major indicator of the skills of a custom design company.
You may have seen some of Gideon’s Needle’s on Instagram, Facebook and or on their site. The designs are gorgeous and fabrics from Africa are high quality. What really drew me to them were their high level of customer service and attention to detail. From my first interaction with the husband and wife duo, they were super professional, welcoming and kind. Their energy made me so excited to be working with them on this project.
I have commissioned Gideon’s Needle to create a few special pieces for me. I can’t wait to walk on the sands in Fiji in my Gideon’s Needle Pieces. The next time you are looking for an outfit, blouse, shirt or dress, visit Gideonsneedle.com and be amazed at the variety of fashion gems.
Head to their Instagram, Follow them and tell them I sent you.
