Here we go…Part 2 of my Vanity series.
As I mentioned before my new home has space for a vanity and I am currently designing it with hopes of finishing it by the end of the year. I hope it will be finished in time for Christmas.
I will keep my fingers crossed.
My vanity space will be small but I really want it to be unique and a true reflection of the things I love. Trinkets and inspirational quotes are important to me. When I travel I usually bring a lot of pieces back home from my holidays. I love displaying them and adding them to my living space.

My vanity space will be small but I really want it to be unique and a true reflection of the things I love. Trinkets and inspirational quotes are important to me. When I travel I usually bring a lot of pieces back home from my holidays. I love displaying them and adding them to my living space.
To help me with the process, I drew out a simple sketch of how I want my vanity space to look and what should be featured in it. Here is the sketch of what I have in mind.
I already purchased a furry stool and I love it. I picked it up from a furniture store here in San Francisco and it has become the inspiration for my vanity space and the focal piece.
The trinket boxes on top of the stool will be Hermes and I have been building my stack of Hermes boxes for the past four years.
Next to the stool is a storage cabinet. I initially wanted a table which includes storage but I haven’t been able to find one. But still I need storage for my blowdryers and flat irons.
I would prefer 3-4 drawers to hold all of my hair essentials.
MALM Dressing Table from Ikea
Finding the perfect table has been a hassle. I initially wanted a MALM dressing table from Ikea which comes with a drawer, in brown-black but I can’t find it in the US. It is only sold in Canada. Whomp whomp. I really can’t have a white table because my chocolate tone makeup will stain it.
So I am on the hunt but my husband has an idea and I am waiting to hear what his brilliant idea is. Ha!
In the meantime I am still on the hunt for a table with a large drawer.
Any ideas?
The mirror I have in mind for my Vanity
I prefer to have a mirror that stands on the table rather than a big vanity mirror. It is more intimate and is closer to my face. The mirror should have LED lights. I have found one that I like and ordered it. Let’s see what is looks like when it arrives.
On the table there will be some glass vases for makeup brush storage and hair tool storage. I am unsure if I should get those makeup cubes to store my makeup or should I put them in the drawers? Hmmmmm. I know #firstworldproblems.
To complete my vanity there must be a large inspirational quote picture. I was searching but it is hard to find one and there are always so many to choose from.
If you see one that you think would work for me let me know and I will check it out.
